Fun Family January Events in Myrtle Beach!

Just because you can’t bask in the sun doesn’t mean there’s not plenty to do here on the Grand Strand in the winter! Here are just a handful of the upcoming January events in the Myrtle Beach area, great for the whole family!

  • Join Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet for a very special Mad Hatters Tea Party in the Holiday Cottage. Come dressed in your finest Sunday hat and enjoy a lovely luncheon. Space is limited and reservations are required. Tickets are $35 per person. The Mad Hatters Tea Party will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 14, 21 and 28 at Brookgreen Gardens. www.Brookgreen.org

  • Champions of Magic features “The World’s Greatest Magicians” and is in Myrtle Beach for one night only. Watch in amazement as Jay Mattioli, Jeff McBride, Xavier Mortimer, Mike Caveney, Tina Lenert, Gregory Wilson and Jade perform magic right on-stage at the Gilmore Theater. You’ve never experienced this type of magic at the beach! Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012 7:30pm at the Carolina Opry

  • Join the Children’s Museum of South Carolina for a Snow Day at the Beach. Kids can play in an indoor snowball fight or go for a skate in the indoor hockey rink. Celebrate the long weekend by playing in the snow. The Snow Day at the Beach will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, January 16. http://www.cmsckids.org/
