What’s New at Garden City Realty in 2015
As we settle into 2015, here’s an update on what’s been happening at Garden City Realty.
Last month we said goodbye to Director of Owner Services, Judy Walton, who retired at the end of 2014. Judy has been with Garden City Realty since 1983, starting as a reservationist in Guest Services. Since then her responsibilities have been extensive, encompassing every department including; acting manager of Vacation Rentals, accounting and payroll administrator, over-all company Office Manager and overseer of several home owner associations within the organization. Judy has been in Owner Services since 2008.
Drew McElveen officially joined Garden City Realty and was named Director of Guest Services at our Surfmaster office. Drew graduated from the University of South Carolina at Aiken in 2014 with a degree in Business Marketing. Throughout the years he has worked with several departments at Garden City Realty, including marketing and reservations.
Margaret Hoynes joined Garden City Realty this year as our Advertising Coordinator in the sales department. Margaret graduated from the University of South Carolina in May 2013 with a B.A. degree in public relations and minor in sport and entertainment management.
Ashley Spivey and Brandon Stacks joined Guest Services as Vacation Specialists. Ashley presently attends Walden University where she is taking classes towards a Bachelor of Health Science degree; she is also a 2013 Graduate of Horry-Georgetown Technical College. Brandon graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
Dennie Ball, a certified Human Resource Specialist, also joined Garden City Realty in January. She has worked as a Human Resources Generalist and has earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR ®) certification.

Pot of Gold is a four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath beach house located 0.7 miles north of the Garden City Pier and within a seven minute walk to the beach. No smoking. No pets. Check-out maid service included. Linens not included. Maximum occupancy: 12
High Tide is a five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath oceanfront beach house located 0.9 miles south of the Surfside Beach Pier. No smoking. Dog-friendly. Please see the office for pet policy details. Maximum occupancy: 14
