Mini-Golf at the Beach

Vacationing and golf go hand-in-hand when visiting the Myrtle Beach area.  Known for its award winning golf courses, South Carolina’s “grand strand” is a popular destination for beach go-ers, restaurant connoisseurs, and avid golf players. While everyone has the capability of going to restaurants and the beach, not everyone has the ability to play a round of golf.  Fortunately, the grandstand has plenty of miniature golf destinations easy enough for the whole family!

Miniature Golf, also known as putt-putt, is a spin-off of the popular sport ‘golf.’  Unlike it’s father sport, it focuses solely on the ‘putting’ aspect of the game, making it require much less effort and skill to play than regular golf.  This makes it a perfect sport for families and friends looking for a fun, simple time.

There are many great “putt-putt” courses in the Garden City area.  From “Inlet Adventures” mini-golf in Murrells Inlet, all the way up to “Jungle Safari” in Myrtle Beach (and many places in between,) there are a countless number of locations to pick and choose based on your convenience.

My recommendation for mini golf would be “Gilligan’s Island,” located right in Garden City! Not only is the the closest to our office at Garden City Realty, but it is also the closest mini-golf course to the ocean.  It has fair rates, open daily, and is surrounded by a variety of great restaurants. For a low fee, you can play all day long, which means you can come and leave as you please.

Always remember to never hit your golf-balls too hard, and don’t forget your sunscreen! Broken cars and sun scars are not the best way to start the day!
